Saying YES to Connection, but with limits

Oct 13, 2025

I was coaching a client recently who was over-Tilting in Connection. She was saying “yes” to everyone except herself—avoiding boundaries and slowly draining her own energy. What started as enthusiasm and helpfulness had morphed into frustration, even resentment. She admitted she was “mad,” but couldn’t quite explain why.

When we look at the preferred thinking and feeling styles of the Connection Tilt, we see incredible strengths: optimism, a can-do attitude, a focus on people, and a gift for possibilities. Yet those same strengths can tip into overuse, creating blind spots. For some clients, this shows up as chronic people-pleasing, ignoring their own needs, and ultimately feeling taken advantage of. It’s an unintentional but very real trap, especially for leaders in high-demand roles.

This is where the Laser Agility Coaching Model comes in. The model helps coaches quickly home in on their client’s current stuck pattern and question what they truly want instead. By guiding them to question what’s holding them back and then supporting them as they take concrete steps toward new behaviors, coaches can help clients restore balance and agency. For my client, that meant shifting from reactive “yeses” to intentional choices rooted in clarity and self-respect. It’s a powerful reminder of how Tilt365’s Laser Agility Coaching Model can help coaches unlock awareness—and how agility is often just a single shift away.
