Coaching Clients with the Clarity Tilt Pattern…from What I Know Now

Nov 11, 2025

I’ve noticed a consistent theme when coaching clients with the Clarity Tilt pattern: they often say they want to feel more comfortable speaking up—in meetings, conversations, or any setting where opinions are shared. People with this pattern have a strong preference for accuracy, details, and data, and they care deeply about how their input impacts others. Because credibility and trust are so important to them, they work hard to master the facts before contributing.

But that same strength can become a trap. Their desire to be seen as an expert can make them hesitate to speak until they’re absolutely certain. The risk of being wrong feels greater than the value of contributing in the moment. Unfortunately, this silence can be misread as disengagement or lack of knowledge—when in fact, it’s often the opposite.

Using the Tilt365 Laser Agility Coaching Model has helped me uncover what’s really happening beneath that hesitation. It helps me guide the conversation toward what the client wants most—to have the courage to share their thoughts, even when they don’t have all the answers.

One simple reframe I often share came from a wise Tilt practitioner: when asked for their opinion, begin with “From what I know now…”. That phrase acts like a protective cloak. It allows Clarity-tilting clients to honor their need for precision while stepping into the conversation with courage and confidence. They don’t have to know everything—they just need to share what they know now. And when they do, it’s often a game changer for how others see them—and how they see themselves.
